Here is an example of the final art you will see in the Sandal Artist, and the sketch it was based on. The text placement is decided in the sketch as well as gutter space for where the page folds/turns.
The final art for this book is all acrylic.
I tried a new technique for this book by starting out with a black background. Basically the color goes on top of the black in a reverse process from starting on a white background. This creates opportunity for black to be used for outlining.
